The Digital Envelope vs Zola
Zola is the wedding website and registry most American couples already use, and both are free. What many couples do not know is that Zola does not sell a digital invitation: its FAQ says so, and suggests customizing a free digital save the date instead. So this comparison is really about two different things.

Where The Digital Envelope is the better choice
- A seating chart on any phone or computer, included, with meals and allergies per table and three printed sheets. Zola's is an iOS-only add-on, $14.99 beyond 15 guests.
- An actual invitation: Zola says it does not offer a digital one.
- The invitation is animated with music, made for each design; Zola's digital cards are still images.
- The reply is on the invitation itself, with meals and allergies, one per household. On Zola the guest goes to the website and searches for their name.
- Guest photo album around the wedding day, included with Signature.

If you only read one paragraph
Most of our couples use Zola too, for the registry and sometimes the website, and that is a good idea. Send our invitation as the thing guests open first, and link your Zola registry from the gifts section. If you only need a free save the date and a website, Zola alone will do.

Yes. The gifts section takes any registry link, and the Zola registry is the one we see most often.
Do I still need a wedding website?
Our invitation carries the schedule, places, dress code, registry and questions, so most couples do not. If you want one, Zola's is free and you can link it from the invitation.
